Nexellence Institute
Nexellence Institute is a place where curious young minds can explore, question, and grow. Founded by Dr. Michelle Yin, Associate Professor at Northwestern University, Nexellence brings together engaging, youth-friendly courses across science, technology, research, and the social sciences—designed for learners who thrive when they’re free to be themselves.
Our approach is grounded in universal design for learning, meaning our courses are built to meet the needs of diverse learners—without ever asking them to fit into a box. We believe that learning happens best when students are having fun, actively engaged, and encouraged to bring their full selves into the classroom. We don’t require kids to be quiet, still, or “typical”—we celebrate personality, creativity, and different ways of thinking.
